G-Star RAW reveals its Fall ’19 collection curated by Style Mathematics

For the Fall ’19 Collection, G-STAR RAW unified the 4 defining pillars of its new collection –utility, sports, formalwear and denim – by following their staple styling principle of Style Mathematics: forbidden combinations of garments that don’t seem to fit together as individual pieces but when combined create a perfectly crafted outfit for every possible dressing moment.

STYLE IS IN THE PARADOX

Combining contrasting elements into one striking whole is the key Style Mathematics principle at G-Star RAW. These forbidden combinations come together in a more extreme layering approach to styling. The versatility of the collection offers a look for any dressing moment and the contrasting elements allow each individual garment to stand out on its own, revealing the surprising and unexpected element of the product.

THE COLLECTION

The most distinctive forbidden combinations of utility garments, tailoring details, sports influences and denim take center stage in the Fall ’19 collection.

Various pieces are inspired from the G-Star archive, where utilitarian garments – both military and workwear – were reinvented for the world today. At the core of this pillar, functionality reasons complement the aesthetic ones, offering a genuine purpose to the garments.

A retro sport design defines a variety of polos and track tops. For a fresh pop effect, several garments contain color blocking, which creates a unique contrast when styled with denim – another G-Star staple.

To disrupt the norm even further, the collection integrates classic formal mens- and womenswear, giving the whole collection an elegant touch.

As always, denim acts as the core of G-Star’s collection, focusing on the next step into sustainable innovation. Our Kir Denim O – the world’s first Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Gold Denim Fabric launched in February 2018 – gets even more sustainable. This denim fabric is made using our low-dip dyeing process, which saves an additional 75% of water and 20% energy during the fabric making stage. Furthermore, an additional 68% of water, 47% energy and 62% chemicals are saved per garment during the finishing process.

The G-Star RAW Fall ’19 collection is available online and in stores as of January 2019
