Dedicated to the cloth, the craft, the culture and the history of denim. G-Star RAW launches its Autumn/Winter ’20 brand campaign: Hardcore Denim.
Following the successful launch of the first Hardcore Denim campaign in Spring/Summer ’19, G-Star continues to celebrate the brand’s innovative design approach dedicated to every little detail; the stitching, the cut, the lines, the balance. Because details make the difference and take denim from good to great.
With inspiration derived from the well-known G-Star RAW Archive and the continuous study of denim construction, the brand reinvents denim blueprints as modern styles designed for the world of today.
The Autumn/Winter ’20 collection introduces fresh new colours and washes as well as new premium fabrics to their iconic collection of denim blueprints. G-Star invites you to explore your inner confidence with denim designed to highlight your best assets.
Gwenda van Vliet, CMO G-Star RAW: “The follow-up sequel to our Hardcore Denim campaign is offering a fresh take on denim in the summertime. Denim is the ultimate uniform relevant for rooftop bars to festival grounds and anything else under the sun. This campaign celebrates our commitment to the craft and every innovative detail of our designs.”
Autumn/Winter ’20 collection highlights
Focus styles for women include the Tedie and Kafey jeans. The Tedie jean celebrates the teddy girls, a classic subculture of the British 1950’s. This new denim blueprint features a silhouette that exudes a mix of masculine and feminine features.
In addition to the original Tedie jean, the Tedie short makes its debut in the Autumn/Winter’ 20 collection. The Kafey is a classic hybrid skinny jean inspired by the 60’s café racers who raced their motorcycles from bar to bar. The ultra-high waist and skinny style accentuates the legs, resulting in an elongated feminine silhouette.
Focus styles for men include the Loic and the Citishield. The Loic jean was inspired by mid-century North American work pants. This relaxed tapered modern jean stands out due to its refined stitching, oversized and square back pockets, and the ‘shaping darts’ that create a fully constructed 3D shape.
The Citishield jean allows the wearer to move through the city with ease. The jean has four functional key design components: a sustainable PFC free water-repellent finish, a side pocket with extended zip for easy access, and an anti-theft pocket for added security.
In addition to being a unique design element, the adjustable cuffs provide maximum comfort and durability.
