Lasizwe lends a helping hand to the students in need amidst the protests

On Saturday the 13th of March 2021 Lasizwe Dambuza alongside King Aya and Duma Collectives Sibu Mabena, and other industry creatives took to socials to mobilize the #R10goesAlongWay initiative started by Lasizwe through carrying conversations with students, industry colleagues alike in raising awareness and funds for students to register for university.

This started off with Lasizwe going live on IG stories pledging to help with R10,000.00 from his own pocket and having conversations with the students affected on how he can best split this amount to help more than just one student, what started off as R10,000.00 grew to R100,000.00k in 15 hours and in less than 24 hours R400, 000.00

This saw Lasizwe and fellow associates donating and also pledging to brands to get involved, by simply using their voices for change across their social platforms and driving the hashtag and pledge across their social media platforms sparking further interest!

The first few celebrities and brands to come on board were: Kamo Mphela, Jessica Nkosi, TT Mbha, Enhle Mbali, Prince Kaybee, Kwesta, PH Tumi Seeco, Bontle, C Modiselle, Langa Mavuso, Sarah Langa, Connie Ferguson’s daughter Lesedi, Vusi nova, Dr. Smile Lex, Sho Majozi, Precious the planner, Andile Ncube, George Lebese and Dr. Sivu to name a few, have come forward to lend a helping hand, pledge, raise awareness and pay it forward.
